Revision of Connections:
The Corewave" "What if there is no outside?" Maybe there is no outside. Both the biosphere and technology generate possibilities of which we are all a part. "Earth" pulls current realities into the future and shows the same dynamics of exclusion/inclusion, fragmentation/unity. "Symbol of the Cross" THE image of exclusion/inclusion, fragmentation/unity. It remains the pattern for the future, competing churches of ecological correctness. "Synthetic Pleasures" How do we define what is real. If technology can create a perfect virtual reality we will have to redefine "real life". The separation between mind and body will be ever more strenuously challenged. "Pisces at the Beach" Water as the creator/destroyer. It lives in us, but we can live in it only by separating ourselves from it. In the world of 2038, water is still the master as the Mississippi sweeps away humans and their technology--revenge for crimes against Nature. "Mantra" A modern subversion of the spiritual--alsways a possibility in the absence of internal unity. The road to self-knowledge? The road to the future? Or the wrong path? What forms of spirituality will take us into a viable future?
