A Happy New Year to all! I sat in Los Angeles and watched the moon rising over the smog. Makes a person stop and think for a moment. Let's hope this last year of the millennium (I know that the new millennium technically doesn't start until the end of 2000, but for all intents and purposes...) will somehow help to make up for the problems we, as humans, have let loose upon the earth. Perhaps the Glass Bead Game can become the vehicle for that preservation of free thought and higher purpose...
