Site's excitin & New Quotes
Posted by Kate Hammer on July 22, 1997 at 17:00:09:

I'm finally on a fast machine at the library.
The site looks great. It was a wonderful surprise
when the randomizer sent me through "emotional" to Big
Japan Juxtaposition. It's an old joke
(one, I mean, which Roberto shared with me eons ago) but
it looks delicious and did indeed
make me laugh out loud! The two believertisements
also are great. I feel really buoyed up, and
full of thought. Submissions to come... : )

Anyway, for now just a few random quotes for the quote
randomizer:

"The inner and the outer -- there's the impossible study." -- Joseph Chaikin,
avant-garde American theatre actor/director, founder of NYC's Open Theater

"Whereas in the Newtonian world, the historiographic process was conceived in
terms of the inside appropriating the outside, now we are faced with a
multiplicity of insides and outsides and relationships between them. The
questions that begin to emerge concern redoubling of spaces, directions and
determinations of inside and outside, and the folding of spaces." -- Michal
Kobialka, theater researcher

The image of folding spaces describes my experience of the pathways the web
makes possible to track, to unpack, to refold so that they seem to disappear.

Yours in faith/in quest(ion)ing everything
Love, Kate
