That was interesting Basho - point about the definition of 'chaos theory' taken . However, I think Oliver is correct to say that "the mind is affected by an infinite amount of factors" - including the analogous energy of the proverbial 'butterfly's wings' - (whether one refers to this phenomenon as chaos theory or not.) For that reason I tend to question your statement that he is making a "comparative leap of philosophy" - Buddhist religion asserts interconnectedness while mathematical equations point to proving it.
All he said was that the ideas are similar. I wonder, if one could somehow mathematically record the mind and how it responds to the "infinite amount of factors" - like positive or negative energy - what the equations would look like?
