Western migration Posted by Quirinus on July 28, 1998 at 04:37:18:
Ever noticed how the 'western' tribes/cultures have almost always moved west?
Early Indo-Europeans from the foothills of the Urals heading west to the cities of gold (Bablyon, etc). Of course, it could be that it's easier to march with the sun at your back.
Being influenced by the civilisations around them, stopping for awhile, then moving on; sometimes settling (eg: Rome)
Then moving again, in waves.
Until hitting the Atlantic, then eventually across again to America.
And now the continued move west as America tries to expand into the Asia Pacific region.
Soon there'll be no more room.
